In addition, we provide vehicle transport services throughout the UK and Europe.
We are now recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join our Internal Workshop.
Main duties of the role are:
· Completion of high-quality maintenance/repairs, inspections, and appraisals
· Carry out accurate fault diagnosis using manufacturer diagnostic equipment with a view to achieving first time fixes
· Advise manager if additional work is required to vehicles and seek their approval and advice to proceed
· Provide high quality ‘write-ups’ on job cards
· Complete vehicle condition report sheets and job cards
Essential criteria for the role is as follows:
· Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 City and Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent qualification)
· Sound knowledge of modern vehicle systems/diagnostics
· Competent with all types of vehicle mechanical repairs
· Accurate in job card ‘write-ups’ and reporting
· A thorough vehicle inspection and reporting ability
· Experience of being fully conversant with MOT standards and regulations
Desirable (but not essential) criteria for the role is as follows:
· Vehicle Electrics/Diagnostic qualified
· Ford/Peugeot experience
· Welding/fabrication experience
· MOT Tester
· Commercial vehicle/plant experience
Hours of work are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm and the salary is between £14.00 - £16.80 DOE.
