The Opportunity:
We’re currently looking for an experienced Bodyshop General Manager to lead our Bodyshop in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitions automotive professional to make an impact within a well-established and successful business.
As the Bodyshop General Manager, you will provide senior operational leadership across all aspects of the Wigan Accident Repair Centre (Bodyshop) and Fix & Go operation. You will work closely with the Bodyshop Manager and senior leadership team to improve productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction, compliance, and employee engagement.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm, alongside a highly competitive package with on-target earnings of up to £75,000 per annum.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Recruit, manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff in accordance with Company procedures, policy and employment law.
- Establish and maintain an effective operating rhythm for daily, weekly and monthly review of safety, people, customer, quality, work in progress and financial performance.
- Maintain high levels of customer care, satisfaction and retention, with suitable measures, reporting and improvement actions in place.
- Develop new and existing insurance, accident management, fleet and business customer relationships.
- Identify operational constraints and lead improvement plans that enhance throughput, cycle time, repair quality, cost control and customer experience.
- Delivery of agreed budget, profitability and cost targets.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- A minimum of five years' management experience within an Accident Repair Centre, Bodyshop or automotive operations environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing operational and financial performance.
- Experience managing customer relationships, complaints and key stakeholder partnerships.
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- A full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
