Due to business growth, we are now recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join our Bodyshop team based in Wigan.
You will ensure the customer service department runs smoothly and efficiently daily, ensuring all department processes are followed and dealing with all customer requirements (internal & external) in a professional manner and providing administrative support as required.
Hours of work are Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm and Friday, 8am-4pm, and the salary is £28,054 per annum.

The main duties of the role are:
- Assist and manage daily workload depending on priorities and meeting customer KPI.
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Welcome all customers on initial arrival at reception.
- Progress claim on customers` behalf, assisting with paperwork as necessary.
- Use sound selling skills to improve estimate conversion rates and related unrelated damage repairs.
- Maintain and update Bodyshop management system.
- Book in work in line with workshop capacity and customer requirements
- Liaise with customer in respect to vehicle completion date and time.
- Assign loan vehicles where necessary and maintain records of car allocations.
- Inform customers of the completion of vehicle and arrange collection.
- Check incoming condition of load/hire vehicle informing customer of any relevant defects.
- Process company and insurance documentation
To be effective in this role, you will have:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
- Good computer literacy, good knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Previous experience of working in a customer service role, both telephone and face to face
- Good planning and organisational skills
Previous experience of working in the motor trade and using autoflow or another Bodyshop management system would be advantageous but is not essential.
