We are now recruiting for an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Engineering department.
You will provide engineering expertise on all electrical/electronic technical matters pertaining to the company’s conversion business, including New Product Development (NPD) and Current Model Production (CMP).
You will work Monday to Thursday, with flexible start and finishing times between 7am and 6pm, totalling 37.5 hours per week. The salary is up to £42k per annum dependant on experience.

The main duties of the role are:
- Support the Lead/Design Engineers in the development of new and existing vehicle conversions
- Install and integrate electrical systems for WAV conversions, including powered ramps, lifts, and control units.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in converted vehicles.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings accurately.
- Work with CAN bus systems for integration of aftermarket components.
- Perform soldering, crimping, and cable management to professional standards.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot modern vehicle electronics.
- Training of vehicle specific new development requirements to production ops where required
- Harness prep/build for any new prototype developments
- Maintenance of in-house test equipment/tooling/workshop ensuring that all calibration certification and documentation is kept up to date, and assisting in sourcing new equipment as needed
To be effective in this role, you will have:
- Level 3 Diploma / NVQ in Electrical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in automotive electrical installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Knowledge of wiring diagrams, schematics, and fault-finding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Previous experience and knowledge of wheelchair accessibility standards and vehicle adaptation requirements would be advantageous but is not essential.
