We are now recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join our IT Department.
You will provide operational support for all IT and Telecommunication systems within the company. You will mainly be responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuing users get maximum benefits from them.
Hours of work are Monday – Friday on a rota basis, changing every two weeks (7am – 3pm, 9am – 5pm and 10am – 6pm) and the salary is circa £31k per annum.

The main duties of the role are:
- Provision of both onsite, remote desktop and server support for client IT systems and networks
- Installation configuration and support of ICT issues with laptops, desktops, mobile device and servers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems through evaluation and provide solutions
- Log all issues and resolution details, continually updating customers
- Ensure the status of all tasks, escalation, documentations and servicedesk is up-to-date in line with the servicedesk policy
- Ensure the asset management system is up to date with any equipment issued
- Maintaining networks, setup and cabling of networks
- Provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
To be effective in this role, you will have:
- Prior experience in a similar role, including 1st and 2nd line support
- Good working knowledge of common systems, both internally hosted and cloud based.
In addition to ‘off the shelf’ products, some of our systems have been developed in house. You must be keen to expand your technical horizons and learn new technologies quickly to meet the challenges of a technically diverse environment.
