We are now recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join our Mobility Solutions team.
You will be responsible for the diagnosis, repairing and servicing of a range of mobility products and equipment including scooters, powerchairs, wheelchairs, rise recliner chairs, adjustable beds etc. This role will also include assessment and grading of used products in the above categories, and documenting & photographing these products before assigning them for resale, repair/service, stripping for parts or scrapping.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm and the salary is £12.91 per hour + bonus.

The main duties of the role are:
- Diagnosing and repairing all manner of mobility equipment
- Undertaking product servicing in line with manufacturers or Mobility Solutions guidelines
- Assessment and testing of inbound used products.
- Documenting the condition of inbound used products.
- Grading used products that have been allocated for resale.
- Identifying used products that need repair or should be stripped for parts due to their condition.
- Using the tools/software provided by manufacturers and Allied to ensure productive and efficient repair times.
- Discussing any equipment/product issues with customers and providing assistance over the phone
To be effective in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- General electrical/mechanical engineering knowledge
- Experience of electrical/mechanical product repairs and maintenance
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
A Driving licence is essential for this role.
Previous experience in mobility product / equipment repairs and maintenance would be advantageous but is not essential.
