Due to business growth, we are now recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Operations department.
You will be responsible for ensuring the vehicles are manufactured correctly, cost effective and delivered on time, in accordance with customer build specification and quality requirements including 100% documentation sign off compliance. You will create and lead a culture where quality, health and safety and our people are at the forefront of everything we do.
Hours of work are Monday to Wednesday, 7am-6pm and Thursday 7am-5.30pm and the salary is up to £15.30 DOE + bonus.

The main duties of the role are:
- Liaising with the Production Supervisor to identify individual and team training needs/gaps/strengths and ensure appropriate training is received.
- Continually monitor Vehicle Assemblers for SSOW’s and Risk Assessments compliance.
- Monitor & review production progress against deadline targets to ensure on time delivery.
- Ensure correct production/quality processes, equipment being used, and the working environments are all conducive to producing a high-quality product/service. Escalate, appropriately, to Production Supervisor any irregularities or issues.
- Carry out daily morning meetings and weekly toolbox talks to ensure full communication and transparency with team.
- Conduct Health and Safety checklist daily, report and potential issues to Assistant Production Manager.
- Establish goals and objectives for self and team and implement accordingly to help support/improve job performance.
To be effective in this role, you must have:
- Experience of managing teams and understanding how to motivate and engage.
- Experience in ensuring defined Processes i.e SOP’s, Risk Assessments & SSOW are fully adhered to.
- Strong communication and motivational skills both oral & written.
- Ability to be assertive and confident when dealing with difficult situations.
A Driving licence is essential for this role.
Previous experience in a manufacturing supervisory role would be advantageous but is not essential.
