We are now recruiting for a Trainee Purchase Ledger Administrator to join our Accounts department.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to begin or develop a career in accounting, learning invaluable accounts skills, working as part of a fast-paced accounts team. You will work alongside experienced team members, gaining hands on experience.
You will work a 35-hour week, with flexibility around start and finish times and the salary is £22,932 per annum.

The main duties of the role are:
- Match invoices to purchase orders
- Utilise an E-scanning process to upload purchase ledger documents to our accounting system
- Ensure the timely authorisation of purchase ledger documents
- Process authorised purchase ledger documents
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Prepare ad hoc supplier payments
- Liaise with suppliers and colleagues, to resolve queries, professionally and efficiently
- Prepare weekly and ad hoc purchase ledger reports
- General day to day accounts admin tasks
- Support and provide cover for other members of the accounts team
Key skills required:
- I.T. literate with a good working knowledge of Basic Excel and Outlook
- Strong numeracy skills
- Good attention to detail
- A methodical and accurate approach to work
