Due to business growth, we are now recruiting for a Transport Manager to join our busy Transport department based in Glasgow.
You will provide an efficient, reliable, and cost-effective transport service to the company and our customers.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8.15am-5.15pm and the salary is circa £40k per annum.

The main duties of the role are:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the Glasgow transport department
- Delivery of organisational requirements
- Management of vehicles
- Management of drivers to ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction at all times
- Management of demonstrator fleet
- Route planning to maximise efficiencies and cost control
- Ensure that all vehicles are delivered on time and relevant paperwork is completed
- Recruit, lead, and train a team of Drivers
- Ensure the vehicle fleet is effectively utilised
- Ensure compliance with all systems, procedures and processes, including compliance with working time directives
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to delivering excellent customer service to customers and stakeholders
To be effective in this role, you will have:
- Prior experience of working in a fast-paced Transport Manager role
- Previous route planning experience, with good geographical knowledge of UK
- Experience of managing, engaging and motivating a team
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Awareness of driver legislation
A driving licence is essential for this role.
