We are now recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join our Bodyshop department.
You will efficiently allocate work to Panel, Paint, and MET technicians, ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with key operational priorities such as Estimated Completion Dates (ECD), Key-to-Key turnaround targets, and Courtesy Car availability. The role supports the Bodyshop Manager in delivering profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction in line with industry standards.
Hours of work are Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm and Friday 7am – 4pm and the salary is up to £45k per annum OTE.

The main duties of the role are:
- To allocate work to the production team in the most appropriate manner, considering priorities and the skills of the team.
- To ensure work is completed to agreed timescales, progress chasing when necessary.
- To carry out regular checks on work progressing through the Bodyshop, to ensure the required standards are maintained.
- To periodically check work leaving the Bodyshop to ensure that all the work has been carried out in accordance with the instructions on the job card, the quality of repair, and cleanliness is of the required standard.
- Monitor and manage staff breaks.
- Monitor and manage performance targets including utilisation, productivity & efficiencies
To be effective in this role, you will have:
- Knowledge of the vehicle repair process and how a repair moves through its journey from estimate to completion Insert essential aspects of person spec here
- The ability to estimate using computerized estimating systems
- Experience working in an Accident Repair Centre or Defleet Centre
A Driving licence is essential for this role.
