Due to business growth, we are now recruiting for a Yard Operative/Handy Person to join our facilities team.
Main duties of the role would be:
· Ultimate responsibility for the security of all yard areas – all yards must be patrolled
· Check vehicles coming in and out of premises
· Watch security cameras, reporting any incidents to management/police
· Record any events during the shift in the security log
· Do not permit any person onto site without authority from management
· Do not allow vehicles or company property to be taken from site without authority from management
· Maintain good housekeeping in the yard at all times
· General yard duties – weeding, power washing etc
To be effective in this role, you will have excellent time-management skills, have the ability to juggle a busy workload and remain calm under pressure. You will be a great team player with a commitment to offering a first-class customer service. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
A driving licence is essential for this role.
Rota will consist of covering days and nights. Nightshift will be from 6pm-7am and dayshift will be 7am -6pm. 1 week – 39 hours, 3 weeks – 52 hours. The salary is £12 per hour.
